Details:
Make plans to attend our workshop called “Estate Planning - To Trust or Not to Trust” where Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C. attorney Mike Redd will discuss: • Wills and trusts • Powers of attorney • Estate planning for non-traditional couples • Charitable bequests • Planning for health care needs • Recent changes in the federal and state estate tax laws The workshop introduces estate planning concepts and teaches clients pitfalls of traditional estate planning, including: • Why many living trusts may not work • Why HIPAA may sabotage their existing living trusts • How to create special trusts to receive IRA inheritances • How to pass money to several generations • How to prevent your children's inheritances from being lost to the future divorces, creditors and predators of their children -- The cost to attend is $30 which includes lunch.

Description:
Do you own a house or another large asset and want to control who receives these when you die? Do you have the right documents to assign medical decision-making to others if needed? Have you heard about changing federal and state tax and estate laws, but don't know if they'll affect you? These are the sorts of questions that attorney Mike Redd can answer. Estate planning has more to do with what your personal situation is and what your wishes are than how much money you make. The workshop will take place in Little Rock on April 6 and Rogers on April 30.
