At CGWG, our goal is to find motivated and committed professionals who embrace our client-centric approach. CGWG takes tremendous pride in supporting the growth and professional development of all staff members. In addition, the Firm boasts a work-life balance culture that helps employees maintain balance amidst career, family and civic responsibilities.
We nurture and support our associate attorneys, encouraging involvement in the community and helping them carefully plot an individualized course for progression in their legal practices. We provide a mentor to all associate attorneys, ensuring that each individual receives the guidance and direction needed to succeed.
Our law clerk program offers law students exposure to the practice of law while gaining hands-on knowledge through challenging work assignments. The Firm also provides numerous opportunities for clerks to become acquainted with our attorneys and support staff, through professional shadowing as well as social events. CGWG offers law clerk positions during the school year and the summer.
Work-Life Balance Policy
The Firm continually strives to create programs and policies that foster employee health and well-being, while enhancing organizational performance and productivity. As an employer, the Firm recognizes that employees have a life outside of the workplace, which may give rise to a range of demands and commitments, and aims to provide flexibility in working and leave arrangements to help employees meet outside responsibilities.
Workplace practices within the Firm can be grouped into five categories:
- Employee Involvement
- Work-Life Balance
- Employee Growth and Development
- Health and Safety
- Employee Recognition
There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to creating balance between work and personal life. Success is based, in part, on addressing the challenges unique to the Firm and tailoring programs and policies to meet employee needs.
