OUR STORY
CGWG was officially established in 1997, although a majority of the Firm’s Directors have been working together much longer. We provide innovative and timely solutions for today’s fast-paced and evolving legal environment. Our extensive client base encompasses a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, healthcare, retail, transportation, education, banking and finance, hospitality, governmental, state and municipal entities, and many more. CGWG attorneys intertwine decades of legal experience with practical knowledge of business operations to provide effective and economic solutions for our clients.
CGWG is dedicated to outstanding service, skillful guidance, and an open line of communication. Our clients deserve our undivided attention, which is why we practice a team approach to meet client needs. Whether it is answering phones personally, returning phone calls promptly, communicating with the client with candor, or thinking creatively about a plan of action, CGWG prides itself on adeptly responding to client issues. Currently, the Firm includes 23 attorneys. The majority of our Directors are women, a rarity in the field of law, but something we're helping to change.
Chambers USA ranked CGWG a top tier Labor and Employment law firm in the state of Arkansas in 2020, marking the sixteenth consecutive year the firm has received that honor. Chambers USA also listed four CGWG attorneys among the top-ranked Labor and Employment attorneys in the state, and ranked one of our attorneys as a Senior Spokesperson in the area of General Commercial Litigation. The Firm consistently has multiple attorneys ranked in Mid-South Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America in multiple categories, including labor and employment law, immigration law, labor and employment litigation, business organizations, and insurance litigation.
While we're proud of these accolades, we believe our best calling card is YOU; the clients we've served, the relationships we've maintained, and the company we keep: our colleagues and neighbors who demonstrate trust in us with referrals and recommendations.
We also learned from the best. We dedicate our practice to the late Russell Gunter and Donna Smith Galchus, who made a tremendous impact on the Arkansas legal community and on our Firm. We're proud to carry their names.
