ROSS E. SIMPSON JOINS CGWG AS ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY



Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C. announces Ross E. Simpson has joined the firm as an Associate Attorney.


Ross practices in the areas of civil litigation and employment law with an emphasis in wage and hour collective action litigation and employment discrimination. Prior to joining CGWG, he served more than four years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Susan O. Hickey, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. Ross was Judge Hickey's longest tenured term law clerk.


In 2013, Ross received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2016, while serving as Executive Editor of the Arkansas Law Review. His article "The Previous Pay is Under Further Review: Payment Problems Arising from O'Bannon v. NCAA" was published in Vol. 68, Issue 4 (2016). Ross also worked as a judicial extern to the Honorable Susan Webber Wright, Senior District Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. He was admitted to practice in 2016.


Ross is a native of Arkansas and has lived in the southeast, northwest, and central portions of the state. He spent time working on his family-owned farm and recognizes the importance of helping small business owners navigate the legal system. One of the things he enjoys most about practicing law is making a difference in the lives of Arkansans.
